I Hate Snow

Sunday, December 08, 2013

OK, the first few days of the snow was fun and pretty - mostly melted off during the day and cleared by the end of the first week. This time, it's melting during the day and refreezing at night. Treacherous. I have learned, once more, that I cannot fly. Hit a patch of black ice while walking the pups Fri evening before work. Landed on my R thigh/hip which is now a lovely shade of deep purp but surprisingly doesn't hurt that much (thank you!) Now, I'm ready for the white slick stuff to GO AWAY!

This one is sung to "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow"

Oh, the traffic outside is frightful,
Accidents aren't so delightful,
I'm stuck in this stop-and-go,
I hate snow, I hate snow, I hate snow.

Cars are having troubles stopping,
Each other they keep popping;
I am moving so really slow,
I hate snow, I hate snow, I hate snow.

When I make it back home tonight
How I'll hate going out in the storm;
Because cutting wood really bites,
But I need more to stay warm.

Traffic is slowly dying,
While I sit here I keep crying
Cause it just won't end, I know.
I hate snow, I hate snow, I hate snow.

(I spent 3 hours digging this spot out. If you take it, I will spend 6 hours burrying your car back in it!)

When I make it back home tonight
How I'll hate going out to the store;
And the crowds that I'll have to fight,
I am sure that they won't have any more.

Oh, the blizzard outside is frightful,
Snowflakes aren't so delightful,
I'm trapped with no place to go,
I hate snow, I hate snow, I hate snow.

    When I lived in Boston, we used to post signs about the spaces we dug out.

    We need to troubleshoot this problem. I think the only solution is skates! Think about it, it is icy outside your decide to take the puppy outside , and think to don your ice skates. Benefits:
1. The thin blades allow you to engage your core
2. Working on balance
3. Working on endurance
4. Killer upper leg work out
5. You hit ice and simply glide across!
A simple way to get the joy back into your winter! emoticon

  Do be careful! I slammed into black ice last winter and broke my hip. I would not want you to fall while you were carrying Sparticus,the little weasel! emoticon
