Try again...virtual walk update

Saturday, December 07, 2013

I've tried this twice and lost it, so will be brief...

Walked 22.37 miles this week, skirting the northern edge of Dartmoor National Park. Walking mainly on secondary roads and some trails can be lonely, especially as the cold weather sets in. Temperatures have been +2 to +4 with rain and winds, but we missed the storms that hit the coast. Recommend the Tom Cobley Tavern at Spreyton, Devon.

Walk on!

Dartmoor is bleak but Broad moor has to be the bleakest. I was expecting you to be closer. Now I understand you are walking the tread mill and doing the mileage on a self selected map. Way to go I have only ever done one virtual walk where we walked the great wall of chins but we used minutes and the team added together so it went much faster. HUGS Pat in Maine.
Are you getting much snow right now. We have had just one snow blower storm so far. We expect another this weekend Pat in Maine emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sounds so like fun... this virtual walk. Maybe I will find out how to do one of my own.
Hope your weather is nice... but then with Winter weather, nice is relative...
Hugs, Audra

Dartmoor can be bleak and dreary at this time of year but you probably found the sunsets beautiful, if you weren't at a hostelry by then! emoticon
