Almost 2 months after Cancer Diagnosis

Saturday, December 07, 2013

Welp, had my first Chemo treatment yesterday and so far no major side effects. I believe my only side effects so far is my running to the bathroom from the anti-nausea meds. But hey, I will take that over vomiting any day! The nurse did say the side effects might not bother me for another couple of days. Oh Joy.
The Breast Cancer is Stage3 and I also have a nodule on my thyroid that my cancer doc stated was "benign for now." Really?! Great so she basically said the cancer has spread but they do not know how far because PEtScans only pick up 4-5mm tumors so if its smaller, it probably wont be picked up. So, I started Chemo --something that I DID NOT want to do at all. I have cut off a HUGE chunk of my hair in anticipation. This is the shortest my hair has been for 20years or more!
My mantra right now is this--I am NOT going to let chemo drag me down. I am NOT going to let this bring me down.
I am looking into gym memberships and hoping to find a special because I would like to start walking while on chemo. Studies show its supposed to benefit people on chemo. I figure, why not?! It will do nothing but help anyway LOL

Welp, it was down to 10F last night and its supposed to be cold for awhile. We do not usually dip down in to these temps until Jan. bbbrrrr....

Robyn, I will be praying for you! Have you ever done the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds? You don't need a membership for those and she ROCKS. You can find tons of them on Youtube if you don't want to go and buy any. Check them out!

Hope you are doing well. LOVE the hair cut! It looks great!!
