We had the most wonderful Thanksgiving. So much happiness, so much to be thankful for. Even our defiant judgmental adult kids could not steal my joy. I was sad that my newly married daughter had to work- but that's how it is in 2013. I missed her/them.
We had lots of carby left overs. Yup- I ate 'em the whole week after. (wild rice, cheese/tomato grits, pumpkin pie) Next year I'm making less! LOL! Our 18 yr old had moved out and I'm still cooking like he's here.
So the little ones ages 6-10 (there are 6 of them) started in with runny noses, then our group home gal Mary started coughing- and soon enough I got it too. :o( I have been sick almost 2 weeks now and I'm miserable.
It's only December 7th but I can tell I'm going to be fighting this longer than I would like. Just from the way it's progressing and my poor immune system. So I have accepted it and it will be whatever happens. Yet I feel blessed beyond measure.
I need to re-do and adjust my goals. So I'll use this "down" time to reconfigure!
This is our son Samson- he turned 18 in August, he has Down Syndrome. He's our oldest at home now.
