It has been difficult to come up with an elegant way to start this blog so I won't: I'm not an alcoholic. I just think it is pretty hard to argue that drinking alcohol is good for you, it is mostly for fun. Yes I know that it is said a glass of red wine a week is good for your heart and so forth, but I am fairly certain there are not studies published that say NOT drinking a glass of red wine a week is BAD for your heart. Anyways, I enjoy a drink every now and then, but I think in the spirit of monthly fitness challenges I am going to have the Dry December Challenge, which will end on the New Years Eve party. I got this idea when I realized just how much carbs and sugar are in alcohol in conjunction with the negative effects it can have on your sleep and your metabolism. So lets tip our glasses (of seltzer) to a dry december! I have made one of my dashboard goals No Alcohol and will check it off every day when I log in.
