Haven't blogged in a while. I hit quite a stall in weight loss over the last few months, only dropped 15 pounds or so in the last 3 months. Doesn't make me terribly happy...but I wasn't exercising. I know it's needed, but I just wasn't doing it.
About 3 weeks ago I decided enough is enough and if I obviously won't hold myself accountable, I need to find a fix for that. I hate exercising with other people at the gym, walking with friends, anything...I just don't like it, I much prefer alone so that doesn't help with accountability. There I figured if I don't post people are going to realize it and know that I crapped out and didn't do anything..lol I'm trying to keep it from getting boring by posting a new "challenge" every day...simple stuff, like exercising outside one day, working on squats/lunges, dancing, etc. Some evil person in the group posted an "30 day ab challenge" and, silly me, I decided to give it a go....oh so so so evil!!!! I'm on day 17 and it's a killer, BUT I'm amazed to say I am able to do so much more than I thought I'd be able to do and my ability is increasing so quickly in the challenge. It's pretty awesome! And I have to say I am proud of myself! Woot!
So, anyway, I have dropped a few pounds since starting to actually exercise (amazing how that works...lol) and I've dropped 1.5 inches in my waist and 1.5 inches in my hips too! So I went to Goodwill today to try to find something to wear for a holiday party tomorrow and was trying on new jeans and I can't friggin believe I actually fit properly in a size 14 now!!! I have quite a bit of skin sagginess that I'm not pleased about but I'd rather have a saggy size 14 than a full size 24! LOL
