Somewhat busy with Christmas shopping

Friday, December 06, 2013

So Yesterday morning I took my neighbor Rosa with me over to Costco. We got a small amount of Xmas shopping done there and needed regular household supplies. Was close to $300 for the both of us, but she paid me back for her stuff. Was fun to go there with somebody else. I am normally all alone in that big old warehouse store. Know I did a lot of steps. lol

It was cool but with the sun out it was pretty warm. Did not need any kind of jacket. I tell you once it hits around 4 pm and that sun starts to drop behind the trees and homes, it gets downright chilli. Today it was nice in the sun but it did not get above 60 today. It is currently 50 degrees at 4:50 pm. Most likely will be below 30 late tonight.

Went to the ATM this morning to get some money, then over one city to the Village at Orange, a large mall in our area. There is also a Trader Joe's on the corner and I go there every year to get a few containers of their dark chocolate cover coffee beans(expresso) for Xmas stuffers or small gifts. I only went into the JC Pennys at the mall. Does that still count as actually going into the mall?? Got a lot of items on sale for the men folk. I even found a really nice shirt for Carl, my daughter Samra's special guy in the right size and on sale. I hope he likes it.

Stopped at Ralphs market on the way home to get some pepsi for Jeff and purchased some gift cards for family who live in NY. Then came home, ate lunch while watching GH. After getting a couple of Xmas cards together to put the gift cards in, I headed over to the PO to get them mailed out. I insured each envelope for $100, so I can be sure they get to NY safely. Then stopped at K-mart and did some more shopping. I think I am about done now with holiday shopping. I still need to pick up Jeff something special, but I haven't yet figured out what that might be.

Ho ho ho humbug lol

Wow, my friend! You have been busy! I did a lot of my Christmas Shopping on line, so it is ready to wrap. Matt and I managed to get the shopping done for the teenaged Grand daughters this past week! That is a huge hurdle overcome! It has been COLD here since Thursday, and Friday morning we woke up with a white covering all over the ground. Most of it was sleet and ice so the roads are bad. We have been staying home since then. Can't wait to get out of here and get some things done! Have a great evening! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Busy lady!! I haven't started with shopping nor cards. It seems I have way to much other things to do. (lol, like playing around with friends) Temps here never got to 50 today. I think 44 was the high and it is going to the mid 30's tonight. We are quite cold for being so far south!! But then I could be in MN. where it didn't get above zero today Last high I saw was -5 so it's all relative!! Have a great day tomorrow and get some R&R in after all that running!! :)
