Yesterday the world lost a great humanitarian. How lucky are we that we got to share this world with him for as long as we did?
I was lucky enough to have seen Mr. Mandela the summer of 1996 while I was in London. His motorcade passed us and he waved at us out the window of his car.
Today's quotes are all in homage to Nelson Mandela:
“We are fighting for a society where people will cease thinking in terms of colour.” (March 8, 1993)
“When people are determined they can overcome anything.” (Johannesburg, South Africa, Nov. 14, 2006)
“When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace.” (Interview for Mandela, 1994)
You may now certainly rest in peace Madiba.
