Finally things are looking up[

Friday, December 06, 2013

Okay so here's what has been going on since Wednesday before thanksgiving. I discovered I had an abscess on my areola and breast. The doctor's office was already closed by the time I say it. I was in agony for the whole extended weekend. I couldn't move my right arm without grazing it and I could 't bend over (still can't). The first doctor I went to on Monday was a quack. I saw a female doctor, a med student and then the doctor wanted to consult with another doctor so I ended getting 3 very rough breast exams that left me sobbing on the table. The doctor said it looked like an abscess but he wanted me to get an ultrasound just to be on the safe side. So I did that and saw one of my good friends for the sonography class I dropped. Wednesday I scheduled an appointment to see my regular doctor for Thursday (yesterday). He looked and the ultrasound films and did a very gentle exam.

The result: I have an abscess that has caused my mammary glands and ducts to become severely inflamed. I though I had red stretch marks but it was actually the glands and ducts, they're bright red and near the surface. So I'm on Bactrim DS and 7.5/325 Norco for the pain. I can't exercise at all so I'm trying to eat healthier and a little less. Eating with a fork kills anything that causes me to move my right arm causes a great deal of pain. I'm going stir crazy because I can't really do anything. emoticon

Can you put heat on it? That sounds like what my late mother-in-law had and she put heat on it so that it would come out.
