This is so true. How many times have you given into the desire to have that candy bar, only to feel guilt & remorse afterwards?
The trick is to remember that "after" feeling BEFORE you eat the candy bar. I'm still learning that. That's one of the main reasons I have my goals vision board in my face all the time -- on the refrigerator, on my cell phone, at my desk at work.
Think about this for a minute . . . how long do you "taste" that candy bar? Your taste buds are "jazzed" for just a few minutes & then it's over, right? Is it worth just that few minutes of pleasure?
Now think about being at your goal weight/normal BMI. Close your eyes & visualize yourself in new clothes or at the beach in an actual swimsuit. Wow! There's no comparison really, is there? Something to think about today as I pass the candy dish filled with chocolate bars.
Let's get this done!!
Update on Aunt Doris: She is scheduled to have the defibrillator implanted on December 10. Please pray that she stays infection free. Thanks everyone!!
Plank Update: After being sick for a week & a half, I started back to planking 2 days ago at Day 16, which was 2 minutes. Today is 2-1/2.
