Home - tired - worn out

Thursday, December 05, 2013

Long days yesterday and today - emotions all over the place - hope, joy, love, and kindness to all. Spent the day with Helen - it was a good day for her. Talked to stepbrother - he is making progress but still has a long way to go - been in hospital for 10 days so far and they are starting to remove drains and tubes, but he is still not able to eat anything but ice chips.

Helen is doing really well and still pain-free and in good spirits. She has received cards from the state representative from our district. She also got a phone call from our bishop yesterday. She is really enjoying being surrounded by family and friends.

I just learned a friend of mine has been hospitalized with meningitis, possibly brain-dead and talk of pulling the plug, and now he has pneumonia as well. One of the 6th grade students at our school whose mother is also a teacher has been diagnosed with leukemia and is hospitalized. Three other people I am close to at church are also facing serious health crises. I am tired of hearing bad news. I am really weary.

I am glad to be home tonight.

Sleep well, prayers, blessings, and positive thoughts for all.

"Let go and let God, " comes to mind. Especially during the holidays we hate being sick or hearing of others who have serious medical problems. But it is out of our hands as hard as that is to admit. Hope your bright spirit triumphs today. I have a feeling you keep contact with lots of people and you are a person people go to with problems. You might be hearing more sad news just because of who you are. Seek out some of those free spirits who glow with happiness most of the time.

Hi Nancy, due to health issues I haven't been Sparking very much recently. And, I no longer have my own computer as it's bit the dust, so to speak. I'm so sorry about Helen and I know how much you lover her, etc. Only God knows best. . .I can imagine having so many people around you wick, etc. has a negative affect on you. But, knowing you you're still trying to think positive and happy thoughts. You're in my thoughts and prayers. God will see you through this difficult time in your life. Be sure and give yourself some me time as that is so necessary especially right now.

Love Ya,

Wow, it is so hard to hear the news of people suffering. Seems like when it rains it pours. Hang in there and try and get some rest!

God never promised us an easy life here on Earth...but sometimes it seems like things just get piled on top of each other, doesn't it? So glad we have a Heavenly Father looking out for us and sending His angels to surround us at times like these.

Blessings to you...
