Mute Monks "Singing" Halleluiah!!

Thursday, December 05, 2013

This has gone around on the World Wide Web for many Christmas seasons. It's still one of my all-time favorites. I've tried for the last 3 years to find a group to perform it at one of our many local Christmas music concerts. I think it's hysterical and very well done. Can't be easy but next year I'm going to get it done locally if I have to recruit and pay the kids myself!! Until then, please enjoy...

I'm also adding in a link to a national weather service article so you can see that Havre, Montana (where I live!) made the national news for our cold...was a record breaking MINUS 28 last night and our local news reports may be another record breaker in a couple of hours!

Thanks for the"singing" monks. I hate to whine about out weather being in the 20's Farenheit, but that's plenty bad for us, last night while I was walking the pups (after sunset & before work) I slipped on a patch of black ice. Landed WHOMP on my right hip. Just bruising, but during the night I watched it change from not visible to light blue to dark, and a deep purple before I got home. Not really too painful, but I look like I'm packing a saddle bag on the hip.

Just got to see that now. Incredibly funny.

It's 18F here right this minute and I think it's too cold to go to the basement. Guess I'm a wuss...

I hope you do find a group to perform. It reminded me of ringing the bells at church. Each bell has to ring at the proper time just like the monks turn their signs. It takes a lot of practice to get it right. emoticon

I LOVED the silent Monks. In your national service weather report I did notice also they mentioned Denver! Last night my Aunt said that when she went to the bathroom in the middle of the night she blearily saw minus 33 degrees on the thermometer from outside. In the morning my Uncle Ed told her it was a balmy minus 3.3 degrees outside that she actually saw!

I definitely would have a car with an electric starter. And heat running thru its seat. the only coat I would wear would be a down ski coat & moon boots. I'd be canning foods. Driving a truck maybe also. And saving enough money to move else where. I'd also have a headed bed. And be living in my thermals. I don't know how you do it! I guess you don't have the winter blues. there's a country that doesn't have sun in the winter, and I hear that they party a lot at bars. But there its more social in small towns. God bless you for having such a positive attitude where the weather doesn't affect your moods. I love that blog with the monks, it's almost dark? eva

    Love it!

It looks like the midwest is getting hit with the snow and extreme cold.

Here in Pennsylvania it has been a high of 55 and rain, if it would be snow, we would be getting quite a bit. Starting on Saturday though, our weather is going to get colder. The high then is supposed to be 3o degrees.

Stay warm!
