Down 40lbs this week

My official (to me) weigh-in day is not until next Monday but I did weigh myself this past Monday and I have unofficially lost 40lbs since the beginning of this journey in October. I know that a lot of people will say that is too much too fast but I have slowed considerably over the past few weeks and am only losing about 3-4lbs each of those weeks.

I feel like I am adjusting really well to my changes in diet and enjoying the healthy foods that have replaced the old poor choices that I had made time and again. I have been tracking every day since October but fell off the wagon a couple days around Thanksgiving when I didn't access the website here for a day or so. I broke my streak I had going for log-ins too! That really bummed me out when I had to start over again. However, even though I didn't log in and record over the holiday, I went into Thanksgiving Day with a plan. I stuck to it and everything worked out pretty good. My plan was to have only 6-8 ounces of Turkey, half a sweet potato and the most healthy looking vegetable I could find on the table. We were guests at my Brother-In-laws house, so I wasn't sure what to expect as far as dishes served on the table, and was happy to find things to be on the healthier side. I did cheat a smidge and had a couple small spoons of Oyster stuffing!!! My other big cheat was I had a couple beers after dinner while watching the football game.

Overall I did pretty good and did not gain any additional weight for Thanksgiving. One holiday down and one to go!!!

    yep ... that is kind of a rapid weight loss but everyone is different so if you're feeling fine physically and mentally then that's OK.

congratz on your progress so far & good for you on having a "plan of attack" for Thanksgiving.
