Update to yesterday's blog

Yesterday, I just needed to vent. I know how to lose weight, and I've done it before. This time around, though, I'm dealing with a much smaller apartment and nowhere to really work out. We live out at the edge of the city, so there are very few streetlights and walking after work is simply not an option right now. DH and I did go to the gym last night, but the apartment complex went cheap on the more recent equipment and it all sucked. We probably won't be going back. That just means that I'll have to move book boxes to my mom's more often (our new house is down the street from hers), and I'll have to uncover the floor in our second bedroom.

I probably ought to mention that DH is an aspie. He gets stuck on things. A lot. We're working on it, and things are getting better, but I still have to remind him that TV isn't the only thing in his life. I can also tell him that certain foods are off limits, and he'll usually leave them alone. Once we get to the new house, we're planning on buying some fitness equipment (like a treadmill and/or an elliptical) at some point soon to help both of us. Dealing with an adult aspie is not easy, but I've learned, and he knows to ask if I need help. Things really aren't as bad as they sounded yesterday, but every once in a while, I just need to vent.
