I know some folks think it is not exercise unless you work up a sweat and get your heart pumping like crazy.
My husband recently asked me what was supposed to be the purpose behind all the steps I try to do each day (5 miles..about 11500 steps) even though I wasn't walking fast most (all) the time. I told him I had learned from past experience that the stroll paced walking I used to do out in the ministry..roughly 3 hrs a day most days..had kept my blood sugars in normal range (they shot up when we moved and that walking regime stopped!) I told him walking is certainly better than sitting...moving is crucial to keep you moving.
Then this morning this info was in my email. Another reason to walk, walk, walk.
I'm going to get my shoes on. DH and I are heading out to walk before the rain gets going here.
