Last official work day before medical leave :)

Thursday, December 05, 2013

Well the time is ticking by fast counting down till Mondays surgery. I have five things to get "to done" before Sunday night. A receiver mounted on a shelf or another solution found, a bed brought in as I could not climb up into my tall bed for weeks after my last surgery, my hair cut and colored, the house clean (I have help coming tomorrow so I can do a good cleaning and dusting), and grocery shopping (putting in supplies for me, drinks, fruit, snacks). I have a family event Saturday night that should be fun. Two of my nieces are performing in the nutcracker dance recital and a group of family members are all attending to watch. This will be a good time.

My meds are purchased, my dressing supplies are purchased, and the prep (so much fun) is bought. I think I am ready!

So Monday is the day for one major and a couple small hernia repairs along with a tummy tuck. I am third on the list but don't have a time yet. I am nervously excited and not distressed or fearful at all. I know all about the pain, drains, girdle and complications and risks. My God has got this. I also know how bad it was last year and my belief in God has mad me a strong person. I have a relatively good pain tolerance (I will take the meds I am not superhuman). I will need time to recover but have peace that I will be fine :)

I am continuing in prayer and appreciate all prayers for the doctors and caretakers (including my husband), the procedure to go well, and a speedy recovery. Thanks so much.

Lets get this day done so I can focus on the final preparations! Have a great day everyone!

I've had three abdominal surgeries and know they are not fun. Good luck. I hope you get lasting results.
