Day 248 - Mentally Exhausted

Wednesday, December 04, 2013

Wow, just WOW!

I really dove in head first with my new position! I do just about everything that has to deal with clients, staff, guardians, parents, nurses, etc...

There are mini crisis everywhere I turn and applications to fill out for clients and deadlines to meet and coordinate staff with clients for appointments, etc, not to mention entering data, creating IPs, case notes, etc... As well as paying bills, getting grocery money, petty cash...not to mention the upkeep on the maintaining of the homes, whew!

It is endless with the responsibilities!

I had to get a new cell phone (iPhone) just to keep up with appointments, schedules, texts, emails, meetings, trainings, webinars, etc...and it is only Wednesday - 3 days into my new job! LOL. So love the calendar app!!!

I have been working from 9 am to 6 pm these last few days...but just because everything is in a crisis position has been vacant for several months and apparently the last person did not keep up with all the paperwork and deadlines. So, I am entering with a huge mess to clean up!

No wonder I am mentally exhausted! I came home with a headache.

Yesterday, I tried burning off the energy by jogging two miles on the treadmill. It just kept me in a hyper mode of rushing to et dinner on the table, taking my shower, helping with the kids, chores needing to be done...

And on top of it all, my mother is not doing too well. She is in the hospital fighting an infection and multiple blood clots before she can get the pacemaker put in...

Okay...hopefully by next week I will be in less of a crisis mode, I will actually know what the heck I am doing, and I can come home early enough to have my exercise time without feeling rushed!

Last month, I lost only 2 pounds...typically I lose 4 pounds. So hopefully it is just the stress of the holidays, my new position, and my mom. I am hoping to lose 4 pounds this month...

Wish me luck!
