10. What are the ways in which you are "slippery" and might cheat yourself in your efforts to reach your short- or medium-term goal or challenge?
Well I guess I am not that big on outside accountability. I don’t make a lot of promises to people. I generally keep my promises when I make them…I just am really good at avoiding making them. I suppose that could be the definition of “slippery” in my case. Doing something like this is a nice accountability/discipline for me…so I guess I’m not that slippery after all emoticon

    Yep! emoticon I'm careful not to commit myself unless I am 100% sure I can follow through. A lesson I learned the heart-breaking way. When my son was a toddler, he called me a liar, and burst into tears, crying inconsolably for over an hour. We were going to eat at our favorite Chinese restaurant, but when we got there, it was closed. He was distraught that we had "lied to him". Ever since that experience, I have chosen my words very carefully. He was too young to rationalize with, and I fully realized the power of my words.

    I often find ways to undermine myself and I don't even know I amdoing it - usually around exercise.
