"It Didn't Happen"

Wednesday, December 04, 2013

emoticon OH NO!!!! I DIDN'T HAPPEN!!! I did not maintain a NUMBER on the scale. emoticon What do I say to that.....SO WHAT?!?!?!?! emoticon

I had set my mind on maintaining a specific NUMBER weight throughout my Thanksgiving holidays. However, it didn't happen. But this NUMBER gave me focus and boundaries throughout this time. This NUMBER on the scale was used as a TOOL.

I was set to maintain or be below by my next weigh in, and guess what I did maintain and was below but not according to the NUMBER. I maintained my goals of how I was going to eat while celebrating with my family. I was below my past portion sizes of eating. emoticon

So in spite of what that NUMBER on the scale read, I still was not defeated and I got the NSV. If I had just focused on that NUMBER alone, I would have missed my true celebration of my life style changing. emoticon

Thank You Jesus, that I am alert to the lessons YOU are teaching me on this journey. emoticon

You are focused and so many factors make that number go up and down. I know You will give it your all these last 2 weeks.
My numbers have stalled sometimes and its disheartening at times but all of a sudden its coming down, woohoo.

Good lessons to learn! The number isn't in control; it is a tool. I love that!

Isn't it interesting how we look at the journey at this point?
Taking any negative and realizing the truth WORTH and DEPTH of it OVERALL.

I always get down if the sale doesn't read what I want it to...but the amount of time and energy I give it HAS CHANGED.

For my long weekend/holiday I said not one pound shall I gain...that was THE GOAL.
I gained +5 and didn't allow myself to get down about it.
I am completely committed a couple days and a few lbs. is not the end of the world. I didn't allow myself to beat myself up about it. I am WORKING ON IT. But I AM working on it. lol

You're quite right, you have to look at the big picture, and count each little improvement, not focus on one number.

Sounds like you did great! I am trying to learn that lesson about the scale. At least for me, the slightest increase of salt shows up big time. I just have to remember it is temporary and not real. I love your focus. I am getting to the point where I am basically happy and slow changes are fine ... as long as I feel good. Thanks for posting this blog. I will be thinking about this message, and I know it will be of benefit. emoticon

You are a SHEro and an inspiration about the bottom line being about so much more than A number - any number or the emoticon Life is for living and celebrating and savoring and praising and YOU rock! emoticon
