Time Management and Organization team

Wednesday, December 04, 2013

I myself enjoy writing these blogs (although it is not yet easy for me) as I am writing to influence members of SparkPeople to better set and meet their goals, and in hopes that they would join my Time Management and Organization team (It is the second team listed on my Spark Page, please check it out) .
If you don't find it worth your time, you might get interested in reading some of the material referenced there, like the book "Organize your Mind; Organize your Life". Spartaa liked what I wrote about the book so much that he took the time to find a one hour YouTube video on the subject by the author of the book. There are many good hints on how to overcome the distraction of various stresses and focus on goals that you can be passionate about. I am trying to post them on my team or write blogs about them. Everyone who joins the team is naturally trying to devote time for focusing on and achieving their lifetime goals, and so have a common interest.

MadeIt3, Every 5 minutes in a 24 hour day is like a tree in the forest that represents a lifetime goal. You don't have to worry much about over organizing through as long as you can still distinguish the overall health of the forest apart from the health of an individual tree. Are the individual five minute intervals as completed as a whole leading to a fulfillment of you lifetime dreams or not? Are you spending so much time worrying about the health of individual trees that you can't judge the health of the whole forest?
Not my cup of tea, but you seem to be successful at managing your time. However, I don't know what your lifetime goals are. Only you can judge that. Also, you need to pause and get above the trees from time to time to check your bearings within the forest.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm a girl who organizes in five minute increments, so I need to go in the opposite direction. LOL!!

Maybe your team has some suggestions for overorganization?? I'll check it out!

Good writing is not easy. Count your fingers after shaking the hand of a person who tells you it is! Thanks for your blogs and your leadership of a Sparkteam.
