Well, I went and investigated today....I went to Children's Aid and spoke with a worker anonymously. I told her this family needed help and from where she started that they would send someone out to investigate, I said if I was in their position I would feel it was like persecution and we talked more and more after that. She sent me away with 2 pgs. of places and organizations to call to get further information on what resources are available to provide parenting skills, social and/or support staff. I only gave her my first name as I left in case I needed to call her back. So, now the work begins, the research and then how to present it and hopefully have it received positively.

Anyway, my eye dr. appt went very well, she confirmed my pressures were good and therefore being off my glaucoma drops for 2 months has been successful. She was quite interested in what I might have done to be able to stop my drops after 16 years, but she thinks the exercise was a big help. She also said she didn't see from my eyes that I had glaucoma at all, and was concerned that 16 yrs, 5 or more doctors in 4 different provinces and now to be off the drops....hmmmm?

Picked up some 25cent baby clothes at the second hand store... then walked Buddy and I up to great nephew's house and gave him the hat and thumbless mitts I made for the baby...

good job finding your way through to what you need to do AND having the cuurage to do it.

Many people have been known to just turn away and try to forget the needs the baby has for someone to stand up for him Congrats!

And God's rewards for your good deeds and your summer of exercise, improved eyes. Bravo for getting yourself off the drops, even though it is the side effect of all you have been doing!

Just no telling how much good some daily exercise can do for us besides help us to lose or maintain weight!

Great news on the eyes! I have the urge BIG TIME to go looking for baby clothes, toys, equipment, etc. My daughter has another doctor appointment Monday. I can't wait to see her. She's talking about coming back in January to stay through when the baby is born. I so hope this happens. It will be such a great birthday present.
