Let your passion be your guide

Writing is now a passion for me. Writing has always been hard for me, I got D's and worse on my writing in grade school and avoided it in college as much as I could. Writing has become a passion for me because I want to influence others. But when I try to speak to any of my four daughters and their children, I get tongue tied. It is my nature to keep quiet because of problems expressing myself. With writing, I can take my time collecting my thoughts, and revise my writing after I read it.
I wrote a blog where I said that I skipped doing my P90x exercise yesterday since I found other things that interested me more. I said in my blog, to be successful at a goal, one had to want to achieve it, envision accomplishing it, and enjoy trying to achieve it. Madeit3 commented that I hit the nail on the head. She said I should consider other exercises that may be more enjoyable to me. But I said in my blog that I have not given up P90x and enjoy the challenge. The same is with my writing.
The same reasoning applies to having success at your job, or (if your retired like me) to whatever you do. Try to do things that you are passionate about if you can. Do things that you are strong at, and embrace your weaknesses to make them an asset and not a burden. If you face your problems you can overcome them. That way you will be more effective at what you do and you will be successful.
