Decision and No Definite Decision

Dear niece and nephew have agreed to take me to the Jingle Bell races in Winter Haven on Dec 14th. I know it isn't convenient for them; neither is a morning person and they will need to be at my house, out of the way, by 6am for us to make it. I am very grateful. Hubby just doesn't want to go and sit with the dog for several hours and I can understand that, too. The 10K is at 7:15 and the dog walk isn't until 9:15.

So I decided to do the 10K and decided not to pressure myself for speed. If I'm having a good day, I'll go for breaking an hour. Eventually I do want to accomplish that feat and believe I can. But if I'm not feeling it on the 14th, I'll just enjoy the run. I'm hoping that my daughter will bring the grandkids for the 9:45 kid races. No definite commitment, so we will see!!

I was delighted to be down another 1.6 pounds today for a total of 3.4 pounds under my Friday morning weigh in. There was more sodium weight and less fat than I had thought. I'm now in my maintenance range, a pound under my ticker goal weight and about 8 pounds under my Weight Watcher goal weight. However, I'm a half pound over my At Goal and Maintaining .... Team center weight and two pounds over my favorite weight. I'm kind of laughing at myself, 4 years and 9 months after reaching my original Weight Watcher goal (which I've reduced two times) I'm still playing around with a goal weight. I had said I would take 2013 to nail down a goal weight and 2014 to make peace with the scale. I may take the full 5 years-- until March 2014 -- to embrace a goal weight range. I don't see any advantage to a quick decision on this issue.

Truly such "problems" are a victory in themselves!!

    You're right--just having those "problems" is a victory in itself.

Good job getting down to a range that is close to your "happy" or "favorite" weight. Getting to that place is a win! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I'm glad that you niece and nephew will take you to the race. Are they doing any of the races that day? So glad Gary will be doing the dog walk!
