I had a great day yesterday with tracking, and only really ate 1 unhealthy thing. Still in range & got in my 8 cups of water. YAAAAY. It feels good to be back on track.
I didn't do as well as I'd hoped with tracking & food over Thanksgiving, but as of this morning I'm 249, so I managed to avoid going back into the 250s, and I'm sure a bit of water weight will come off this week as well.
After all that food all I want to eat is salad, except it's cold. So all I want to eat is soup. Mr. Turtle is not loving this, haha. This morning I was motioning to the pile of cans of soup I bought last night on the counter and he was like "we're having soup AGAIN?" hahahahaha. We have a few leftovers in the freezer. Guess I need to get my recipes in gear for the rest of the week & figure out some quick & easy to track stuff.
My work week is not TOO horrifying so that should be nice.
But most importantly, ADVENTURES OF THANKSGIVING VACATION.
Because you know how I love to scribble.
Hahahahaha. That is a TRUE STORY folks! Oh, in case you are confused: My parents now have 4 (~3.5) "grand dogs" (my brother has 2 + a foster and I have 1) so "Oma" & "Grampi" are my parents, not my grandparents. (Though my grandma was there for Turkey Day also.)
Next: How did Turtle Puppy fair with her cousins? (and foster cousin?) (sidebar: I can't draw my brother's adorable dogs. At all. If you want to see them check my photos, LOL.)
I was kind of hoping they would be all cute & play & wrestle & chase together.
Heh. Well, better that they all ignore each other mostly, than that they fight.
And then we had a couple of amusing incidents, of course. Amusing because dogs are how they are, but mostly amusing because I was a little oversensitive about my dog's behavior. After all, this is my mom's house. My mom who never wanted a dog in the house, and now there are four in her house every holiday....
YUP... She was fine after that. Maybe a hairball, maybe just drank too much water too fast. But of course. Not only would she puke for the first time since we've had her at my mom's house, she would puke RIGHT as we started to eat Thanksgiving dinner. Sigh. LOL.
Bah ha ha! It's a shame I was too shocked to get a real photo of this moment.... It was pretty amazing. And she was either happy to see me (maybe she climbed up on the table for a better view trying to find me? Oma & Grampi's house is much bigger than ours.) or SUPER ULTRA MEGA proud of herself. "Yay, I found A Place!!!"
My chair was slightly pulled out. We think that's how she got up there. Fortunately we had completely cleared the table, so there was really nothing for her to get into. Other than put her dumb little buttstamp on the tablecloth (you can't see it but you just KNOW it's there. Dogs don't wear underpants. Or use toilet paper. IMAGINE THE BUTTSTAMP. At home we keep a blanket on the couch, because a blanket can be laundered, but a couch cannot. And, BUTTSTAMP.)
So those were our adventures. Good times!
Hope you all had a good holiday as well. I personally ran five miles so I could eat a lot of PIE. No regrets!!
