I had a great food day yesterday, all because I planned! When I plan meals, it's usually pretty vague and I rely on swapping something food that's in the same food group. I decided to be more disciplined this week. I took Sparkpeople's meal planner/grocery list and modified it. First, I sorted the grocery list based on the supermarket layout. Then I did an inventory of food on hand and started to build a 6-meal menu. The list is now on my fridge! In the past, I'd feel good about just having dinner meals planned. Having the whole day's calories laid out before you is so...comforting! I totally took the stress out of food tracking!
