Oh hi guys. It's been over a month! Oops.
First of all, my weight has continued to creep up. Starting yesterday, I'm back to tracking. I'm currently 175-177. Remember when I was down to 150? Ugh. I'm so disappointed in myself. I know I've gained a lot of muscle since then (it was about 2 years ago, right after I started CF), but all of this is not muscle. My clothes aren't fitting and I'm super frustrated. Right now my goal is 160. I was able to maintain that for a long time. I don't really know what has happened this past year.
Everything is going pretty well on the fitness side of things though! We did the Oly total & Crossfit totals last week. I didn't PR on my Oly lifts (I need to get back to Oly class!), but the Crossfit total went really well!. I PR'd on the press, deadlift, and total (I've been working on some form issues with my squat, so I've been backing off on the weight). I also PR'd the bench press in strength class (104, up from 88 a year ago).
I've been doing strength class for almost 2 months. We started a new cycle today. We did:
Banded deadlift- 5 rep max
Bench Press (wide grip)- 5x5
Skull crushers- 3x12
Weighted lunges- 3x12
Whirly dirleys- 3x12
All stuff I haven't done for a long time. I have a feeling it's going to hurt tomorrow.
I'm also excited because Reebok had a 30% off sale today and my gym matched the discount, so I got to replace my oly shoes. I know what you are thinking, "Why did you have to replace your Oly shoes, Laura? Didn't you just get them in January?" Yes, yes I did. Well a few weeks ago, my husband and my cars were broken into. They stole his guitar.....and my gym bag. Yeah. I don't know why either. Ugh. Luckily they dumped most of my stuff in my neighbor's driveway, so I only lost the bag, the oly shoes, and my jump rope. I wasn't planning on replacing them so soon, but I couldn't pass up that deal!
