7. What is your least favorite physical activity overall? at the gym? Explain.
I usually do 30 minutes of cardio on 3 machines…the really hard stair stepper, the elliptical and then the fun video cycling simulator. Then I do a stretch abs routine and pick a muscle group either upper or lower body.
I do the cardio down stairs, but I usually go up to the ladies area and use the abs machines and do some vinyasa cool down flow before I go back down stairs and use the big muscle machines. This is the last routine I did for a couple weeks a couple months ago.
I used to go to yoga class pretty regularly too. I’m not sure how much of either I will have on my current and short term future schedule. I don’t always feel the yoga there…I like doing my workouts at home better. I found a couple really challenging yoga routines on YouTube I would like to set a goal to master, and I prefer to do my p90x/Insanity in my home gym.
8. Have you ever worked with a physical trainer? One on one? Small group? What skills or talents did the trainer have that helped you? What didn't help?
I have only tried personal trainers a couple of times.
Every time I have spent money on a personal trainer I have felt ripped off…not by them…by the experience. If I wanted to be a personal trainer I’d probably know as much or more than them and a good workout buddy would be more appropriate for me. I’m a bit of a know it all, so unless you are Tony Horton or another LA type I’m not impressed and I’m way too thrifty to pay you…sorry.
