Lakeland Runners Club is having technical problems getting the photos of our Saturday Christina 5K on the web. They did post 10 start pictures, but I'm totally obscured by someone in the foreground. However, my niece and nephew are clearly visible. Count from the right and they are the 3rd and 4th people, kind of on far side. She has on a grey shirt and he is wearing black:
So I'm dragging out the reporting of this 5K for many days. Thanks for sticking with me, SparkFriends.
I am glad to report I'm down 1.8 pounds from 2 days ago and now have reclaimed my middle 2 on the scale. Still 3.6 pounds over my favorite weight of 126. I have my ticker set for 129 as I just can't stand to see me listed as pounds overweight; .6 is bad enough. In my experience, success begets success and sometimes the opposite is true, too. Oh, the silly mind games I play! I entered the At Goal and Maintaining .... Team's National Bird Day Challenge with a center weight of 127.5. I was glad to post today timely and within range, although my level of fluctuation from the center weight puts me at the bottom of the list. These challenges are good for me, but I doubt I would ever win the competition to hold to the center weight.
This eve my sister, niece and nephew are coming to dinner and we will plan for the Jingle Bell races on Dec. 14th. My hubby has decided he wants to do the one mile dog walk at 9:15am (which I'm really happy and excited about); now do I want to do the 10K at 7:15 or the 5K at 8:15?? I would enjoy the 6 mile run, but feel some pressure to try to break an hour. My first 10K was in 1 hour 4 minutes and my second was three minutes faster. Not sure I'm up for the speed over that distance. Might try anyway. Will decide this evening .
