I kicked some ass this cooking weekend and not the good kind. I made everything from scratch, good and bad. We invited my mother in law over for thanksgiving the night before. I thought I was done cooking and then I had to up my ante. We intertwined Hanukkah and Thanksgiving. I brined a turkey in Manschevitz wine and made Challah rolls. Other than that it was pretty traditional. Then for our 2nd Thanksgiving I made caramel pear pie, OMG it was good. 500 calories a slice. I managed to gain about 6-7 lbs in 4 days lol But I am about 5 lbs down this morning so I am good. Sent husband with our remaining leftovers and the rest of the pie to work this morning. Everything is out of my house! Not to mention my work has been giving away pints of ice cream that got a little crystallized. 9 dollar expensive ice cream I would never buy either. Lets not go there... Me and ice cream we don't play well, we party a little too hard.
The week before Thanksgiving the floors at the gym were being refinished, so there was no dance classes. It worked ok cuz I was sick most of that time anyway. The time I wasn't sick I tried getting in more runs. Now the floors are back and my teacher on maternity leave is back. I have hit 3 classes in the past 3 days. Probably why I am down 5 lbs. Sometimes it's nice to be forced to take a break. I did get to that point in there when I was working out so little that it was getting hard to go to the gym period. It's easy when u find your groove and love what your doing. But it's also very easy to not go and not have any motivation. I am happy I am back sweating again, feels awesome. Never took my eye off the scale either, even if I overate 3 days in a row. I still weighed in every morning. Not letting that number run away.
