Getting in the groove of things

Well after weeks of NOT getting my butt out the door to exercise, tonight I did it. I went for a bike ride. I kept making excuses..its too cold, i'll go tonight when traffic has died down, I'll go tomorrow, it's getting dark, I'll go after work before traffic gets too bad, I'm tired and the list goes on and on. Any excuse I could think of I would convince myself out of going.
I love to bike and I lost about 30 pounds in High School a long time ago and I loved it. I knew it worked for me then and I loved doing it so now I stopped with the excuses and actually went out tonight. It was great!...well after I was done it was great. My thighs were burning while I was doing it and my hands were cold and I was struggling along to keep moving, but I kept going. I only went for about 20 minutes but I know eventually I will work my way up to going longer.
If I can do it tonight, with the cold, darkness, and traffic, I know I can't make anymore excuses. I feel great!
