Saturday update

Saturday, November 30, 2013

Well, I did okay on Thanksgiving, but my calories are up for the 4 day weekend. DH is home and he always cooks good stuff. So rather than having 1 of his awesome meals and 2 Spark meals, I'm doing 2 of his . . . and it's still more calories than I normally get. But his vacation is over tomorrow and Monday he goes back to work, then I can get back to my comfy little rut which is my idea of reality. Sure has been fun having him home.

We've had morning fog which usually burns off around 1PM for a few hours. It's still really chilly and a reminder that winter is on it's way...... forecast for snow starting on Tuesday. We'll see. The weather forecasters have been running about 20% accurate. But today's the day to get the Vine maples planted. The color next Fall should be awesome.

It's been great to have a few days of slow time. Yesterday I sorted things down in the dungeon (my storage/craft/sewing room).

I've been working on a new project . . . . an indoor moss garden with fogger and fountain .... will try to get a pic and blog about it in the next few days. So far, I've been rearranging it every few hours to get it just the way I want it. . . . . fun stuff.

I'm heading outside for a walk in the forest. I want to find a couple baby trees (fir, pine, cedar, whatever) to go in a really cool planter I found in the garage.

And I just picked up another Preston & Childs book from the library (Fever Dream, another Pendergast novel). I've nearly finished Nelson DeMille's Night Fall.

The sunshine is calling me. Time to bundle up and get out there!

Have a great weekend.
