I did my first SparkPeople workout video today. It was a 20 minute, total body dumbbell workout. It didn't look too hard when I watched it, but it felt a lot harder when I did it. And now that I've been done for a while, my legs are exhausted! That was a deceptively tough workout! Today made 5 workouts this week. Woo hoo!
Food has been pretty good today, but not stellar. I'm under my calorie limit, but I only got in 3 servings of produce today. Dh and I went out this morning to get a used Nook on sale, and I had 400 cal breakfast from McD's. Then lunch was just some leftover turkey breast on bread. Dinner was a chicken feta sub and chicken soup. There were veggies on the sub and in the soup, and I later had a serving of fruit for snack, but my day was sorely lacking in produce. I'm not too worried about it, though. Can't be perfect all the time. And the most important part, in my book, is that I didn't let Thanksgiving get me all off track. I'm right back to doing what I'm supposed to be doing, and that makes me super happy.
I did get in all my water, though. I feel so much better when I drink my water.
Today was shopping day. We went to Jack's Pets to get the Christmas presents for the babies. Then we stopped at Dollar Tree and bought some pairs of gloves and children's books to donate at the library. Then it was off to Walmart and Meijer for grocery shopping. Nothing exciting there. With the leftover turkey, we didn't have to buy a whole lot of food this week. Always nice to have a cheap grocery week. We spent at Jack's what we saved on food, though.
Tomorrow won't be an exercise day, unless you count cheering for football all day. The Ohio State/Michigan game is on at noon, so I gotta set my alarm for that. Can't miss that game! Some things are more important than sleep, and that's one of them. Otherwise, I'll just watch whatever games are on. This is the last Saturday for college football, so I'm gonna enjoy it.
I am gonna make a leftover turkey and rice casserole for dinner, though. I'm gonna be annoyed to have to go to the kitchen during the game and cook, but the recipe sounds good, and my desire to eat will win.
Now comes the rough part of the day. I'm hungry, and out of calories, so I gotta stick it out til breakfast tomorrow. Unless I'm up past about 1 am. At the 1 am mark, I have to eat something. But hopefully I will be asleep long before that.
And lastly, I leave you with my favorite purchase of the day. Slipper socks.
They were cute, and it's cold. I couldn't resist.
Hope everyone has had a great Friday!
