Sweet Aggie ~ Rest In Peace

Friday, November 29, 2013

Aggie was an orphan kitten that came to live with us when she was only 4 weeks old. She bonded to me immediately and created her own special place in my heart. She fought a valiant battle with kidney disease, high blood pressure and blindness for the last two years of her life. She was still cuddly and fiesty right up until the last day. When she started having trouble breathing, we took her to the emergency vet. Her X-rays showed her body was filling with fluid, so we had her peacefully put to sleep. Aggie ~ 5/1/93 - 11/12/13. Rest in peace sweet kitty. emoticon '''

You can see a photo of Aggie in my photo album.

Sad news. No matter how many times we go through this with our pets, it never gets easier but you can fill your heart with the peace of knowing that because you cared, Aggie had a loving home and a dedicated, loving companion and didn't have to spend her life on the streets. I firmly believe only certain people are chosen to meet up with homeless pets while other people never have a lost, hungry dog or cat come to their homes. I also believe we will see all of our beloved pets again one day. Hugs from another pet rescuer. emoticon Thank you for caring. -- Lou

So very sorry. She did live a long life and I'm sure a very happy one. They leave us way too soon.

How lucky that kitty was to have you find her and love her all her life. Its so sad at the end, and my heart hurts knowing the sadness and loss. Take care.

I'm so sorry for your loss. They become such an integral part of our lives, it leaves a hole when they are gone.

My heart goes out to you. Some of God's little creatures leave footprints on our hearts. You were lucky to have had each other.
