Onto the next holiday!

Friday, November 29, 2013

Thanksgiving is over and since I didn't have it at my house, I have very few leftovers. The food I brought was such a hit that they kept it all. The turkey was a big one but there wasn't much left. This year turkeys were very expensive compared to other years. I had wanted to put some in my freezer but instead I didn't end up buying any. I was too late for the regular and I refused to buy the Butterballs. Who needs added fats!
So instead, chicken breasts are in sale. They are good for you too. If only I wasn't so lazy to cook more veggies with my meals. I sure get tired of cooking but if you want to eat, you have to cook, lol!

I hate cooking! If it wasn't for the growling stomach I wouldn't cook either. I wish I had money to hire a chef lol

I am not big on cooking either. I just bought a bunch of chicken breasts and legs. The legs I want to make mostly for DH. I guess I will "fry' them in the oven for him with a coating. The breasts I want the meat cooked ahead and frozen in packages so I can have it handy for stir frying.

But I hope I can make myself do those things. Sometimes I through meat out because it goes bad beforeI can get to it.

always great to have holiday dinners at someone else s house! Though I do like to do the cooking of holiday feasts, but when I do, I usually ship most of it out the door with my guests, so that I don t end up eating all the leftover foods.

I am not a big lover of most leftover foods, after a meal, though if there is enough of everything I will set up plates with the meal in proper portions, cover with tin foil and pop them into the freezer where I can forget about them until that day I dont want or feel like cooking. Then I just go to the freezer and find one of the "instant" meals in there to warm up. I also use them for taking to a friend when they are down or not feeling that great.

Well congrats on cooking even if it is not your favorite hobby. Keep it up.
