Day 243 - My Mommie

Friday, November 29, 2013

My mom went in to the hospital several days ago for a heart induced heart attack with the alcohol test. Her left side is blocked. Afterwards, she went went into another, not scheduled heart attack but was quickly pulled out of it with the temporary pacemaker.

So...she is slated to get a permanent pacemaker and defilibrater put in. It was supposed to go in last Wednesday but she developed a low grade fever. We are hoping today her fever has broken and she can get this procedure done with no more complications!
Surprisingly, my worry over my Mom and the stress of starting a new position is not causing me to over eat. In fact, I did lose a half a pound yesterday! Yay!!!

I guess this old lady is learning new tricks by staying away from the fridge due to stressful times!

I hope everyone is recovering from Thanksgiving indulgences!

Deb, I hope your mom gets better. I am so sorry to hear about her experience. Know that we are all here counting on her that she gets better soon. How are you feeling with all these stress? Please think about your health too. Stress can be bad and you won't be able to help your mom if you get stress. Know that everything will work out for your mom. Keeping you in our prayers.
