Funny how I'd be writing about a Runner's World Challenge instead of a Spark People one here on this blog. However, that is the challenge I choose to do. It seems like whenever I sign up for a Spark People challenge that I cannot seem to get past the first week of steps to do. This challenge is to run a mile each day from Thanksgiving to New Years.
That seems simple enough. Just do it. I did such a challenge from Memorial day to July 4th and trying to keep that streak going really kept me motivated to at least get moving for 10 minutes or so.
So today, I started out with a 5.36 miles run. I call this the long loop route. I wanted to do more, but I got too cold as I did the last stretch. But it is a good start to get back into the running habit again.
