So...I am in charge of appetizers for today and made a salad, too. I have veggies, olives, pickles, pita chips, nuts and various dips. I eat vegan at home so I made most of the appetizers vegan and we will see how that goes over.
But, my family can never resist adding in more food so there is a cheese platter from my brother in law (who ironically is allergic to dairy) and will be in great distress the next few days from eating it and salmon appetizers from another brother in law and a cranberry dip from one of my sisters. Lucky we'll have piles of people to help eat the food (30+) even with one family staying home with the stomach flu.
Anyway, I am not sure what I will eat today since nothing, except what I made, will be vegan. Whatever I decide, I love all the delicious smells at Thanksgiving and even if I decide to not eat certain things, I can still enjoy them in other ways.
