Do have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Thursday, November 28, 2013

Today is a day I always count my blessings. I do have so much to be thankful for. The biggest of which is that I was finally diagnosed with the autoimmune disorders and put on meds to get me straightened out and I haven't had a flare up since June. Woo hoo! It sure has been a long journey over a 4.5 year timeframe. It was just so darn frustrating not knowing what was wrong and being afraid to travel. So I am so very thankful that I have a wonderful doctor in Mexico that stuck with me to find out what was wrong with me.

I am also so thankful for my grandchildren and two steps sons. They bring such joy to me. Even though they aren't my blood they feel every bit my family. It's funny, as I remember my "step" grandfather who we called "Gramps" and he was so much fun and more a grandparent than my "real" grandfather. I loved him to death. He remains in my heart to this day. So I am thankful that I have been accepted so well into this family.

I do hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and have something to count as a blessing today.
Many hugs, and know that I am thankful for all of you as well. I look forward to getting on sparks each day to visit with all of you!
Happy Thanksgiving.

So glad your health issues have gotten under control and you can finally enjoy life to the fullest! That is awesome you have family to celebrate with even if they are not blood! My Stepfather was and is more a father to me then my biological Father ever was and I am thankful for him each and every day.
I am also grateful for your support and friendship!
Enjoy the time you have left with everyone!

Oh Dear Sallie have a most Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. I mentioned in my blog about my thankfulness, but you know Sallie you are so right about having the great people on sparks here to listen, give advice, & encourage one another. I felt before I came back on board that I was swallowed up by a huge ocean wave and flung to the depths of the roaring sea and tossed about . When I surfaced I struggled with my sea legs from being tossed about in my depth of depression. How sometimes we weaken and get lost among the turmoil, thank you for being the person you are Sallie!!

This is a day of THANKSGIVING. Sometimes we forget the meaning of the holidays but let's make this a real day of Thanksgiving.
I am so thankful I got out of rehab in time for Thanksgiving. Of course any where we are we can give Thanks for something.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too. I also had a step father that over the years became as close to me as my own father and I miss him dearly. It really does not have to be blood relative to bond in love. hugs
