Thanksgiving Eve, when all through the house...

Wednesday, November 27, 2013

It's the night before Thanksgiving and I'm already in bed
When I heard three emoticon gobblers and this is what they said:

The first emoticon said, “I think that I will go--
And hide behind a haystack, where no one will know”

The second emoticon said, “I think I’ll find a tree--
And hide up in the branches where no one will see.”

The third emoticon said, “I think it would be fun--
To take the farmer’s hatchet, then run, run, run!”

So then on Thanksgiving morning when the farmer looked around,
Those three emoticon gobblers could not be found!

So they had to have ham!! {my addition emoticon }

Actually this is from a children’s book of the same name “The Night Before Thanksgiving!” [Author unknown] but you can get FREE PDF on link - http://crayonsandwhimsy.blogsp

Enjoy emoticon emoticon emoticon

P.S. Ok - I have WAY too much time on my hands - ya think? emoticon

This reminds me of a finger play I do with preschoolers

5 fat turkeys are we
We slept all night in a TREE
When Cook came around, we couldn't be found
and that's why we're still here you see!

Loved your blog!
