... Just wanted to check in and let you know that all is well, I just haven't really had time to post much.
Still tweaking the nutritional side of things, this is going to take time to get the balance that I want.
I wanted to make a comment regarding my previous blog and add that although I didn't list a lot of veggies in my meal suggestions, I actually copied the list from somewhere, I wanted to clarify that I eat loads of veggies because I try to get most of carbs from veggies. For breakfast, I love scrambled eggs with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes... I also add zucchini, green peppers & mushrooms.
RE: FRUIT: Being carb sensitive, I have to watch my fruit intake, but I try to eat at least 1 or 2 servings fruit, mainly blueberries/strawberries & apples at least once a day at breakfast
& maybe a 2nd serving for a snack during the day. I also make sure that I eat it with protein. If I do a high intensity workout I might add more fruit as well and make a smoothie with whey protein/frozen strawberries!
- I am concentrating on getting enough protein to maintain/build muscle, as my Sparkfriend, MARVELOUS50 aka Charlene, and former figure competitor recommended. Building the other macros around my protein intake.
- I am also carb & calorie cycling... continually mixing it up so that my body will hopefully not hit a plateau.
