This small goals thing works...

So, I set a goal for myself to make it to the next lowest weight increment by ten every month. This month, I started about 7-10 days in, at 258-257ish and decided my goal would be to make it to 249 by the first day of December, well...I am 1lb away! That means I am so close. I already feel accomplished that I got so close, especially after not seeing any movement the first week and a half. So that is very exciting.
So this means my next goal will be to make it to 239 by Jan. 1st, and so on from there.
I also have an overarching goal that all of this leads up to, which is to be under 200lbs by my 25th birthday. I honestly don't know that last time I was under 200lbs. I think it was maybe 9th or 10th grade, but I'm not really sure.
Here are the goals:
239 - Jan. 1st
229 - Feb. 1st
219 - March 1st
209 - April 1st
199 - May 1st (and my birthday is May 2nd!). I CAN do this.
I know they are lofty goals, and I may have to adjust depending on how the next couple months go, but why not aim big? I won't get big results if I don't aim big. Also, the challenge is that this is happening right around holiday season full of goodies, but I don't deprive myself of anything, and I am just learning not to overindulge...and to track EVERYTHING.
I work out 5-6 days a week. Right now it is only about 30 mins of cardio and then 20 mins of strength (usually a Jillian Michaels strength video). Hopefully, if boot camp goes well this evening (which I showed up for this morning, my bad!), then I'll have a new gym with some cool group classes to keep me motivated too. The only bad thing is they don't have a spin class, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE spin. Unfortunately the only place besides the university that has spin here is World Gym and I hate them. Anyways, I'm excited I'm on my way, I've got 1lb more to go, and then I'll post a pic. :-)
