I need a "normal" day...

Tuesday, November 26, 2013

We saw the Dr WHO 50th anniversary episode on IMAX last night. It was a blast. I didn't have time to get popcorn at the theater, so I didn't have dinner until nearly 11pm! I was hungry. Then today I drove mom to the wound clinic, and didn't have time for lunch until after 4pm, so I am just now thinking about dinner. It feels weird to be so far off my regular schedule. Tomorrow I have nothing extra happening, so I can do things at the normal time. But Thanksgiving we are having our big family dinner at 4pm, which is early for me. Oh well. Being with family is worth the disruption.

It is really slippery out. It is just cold enough for snow, so what there is out there is slushy, when it freezes tonight/tomorrow it is going to be sheets of ice. I am just as happy I didn't register to run the 5k on Thursday... I probably would have slipped and fallen and broken something important like an ankle.

Looking forward to a quiet day tomorrow!

I carry snacks with me for those times when a meal is delayed. I too find I am starving and it messes me up.

Enjoy the dinner with the fam. In the past, we'd have an early dinner around 4, then, after clearing the table and getting the dishes out of the way & food put up (while the menfolk were out in the living room ) we'd do board games and snack on leftovers until our bellies bulged. Ah, memories ... emoticon emoticon emoticon

Wow, Dr. Who sounds like a fun time!

The past days of the snow and ice have really tested me in the hunger area. So far , so good. Thanksgiving here has been changed to earlier, because Daughter is going to her In Laws house late for Thanksgiving. So we decided to have a lunch like Thanksgiving.

Have a fantastic Turkey Day!

I am going to do my first Turkey Trot this week. It is cold, but no ice, so slipping should not be an issue.

Good for you for passing on that greasy movie popcorn!

    Oh no! No popcorn!

We are just getting rain. Too warm for snow or ice. Usually I root for snow but with sooo many people travelling...

I don't do well when I miss lunch.
