Seated row and the uniboob

Tuesday, November 26, 2013

Some of you may already know my complaints about finding a good sports bra that is affordable, especially when you are losing weight and do not plan on wearing it long. I have found a wonderful solution for my cardio workouts. I get the 3 for 10 pack of bras two sizes too small to keep them pressed in firm, and a regular size on top to contain the spillage. As I lose weight my smaller size becomes the larger size and I get 3 for $10 every month or two. This works well for me as I am counting pennies just as much as I am counting calories. This does not work well at the gym when it comes to the seated row during my strength training workouts since the bras, squeezing everything in creates a uniboob and therefore quite uncomfortable. So far I have been sucking it up and just do it but it would be nice to have a nice sports bra without the uniboob that is affordable. I have tried on some really good ones in the Running Room but are way out of my price range, especially for something I hope to grow out of in a few months. Is this a dream I should just hang on to until I am closer to my goal weight? Even with the seated row, I am really enjoying my gym membership. My discount through work is really sweet. There were a few options and I chose the Spa Fitness because it was on the right side of town and other people I know at work go there despite that it is more expensive than the others. It does have a pool, hot tub, and sauna. Today, I really took advantage of the sauna. Now that I am working mid-shifts it is so much easier to get up in the cold winter mornings, knowing that I can exercise and then sit in that wonderful warm sauna. I am also able to get a day pass for Lavinia for the pool but she is still too young for the rest. I REALLY love it.

You should be able to find a good sport bra at somplace like Marshalls or TJ Max for ~$15.
