At work that is!
And if we're very lucky we MAY get to go home a tad early tomorrow. At least I hope so.
I missed doing my blog yesterday. Not a lot to blog about. The weekend was fairly quiet. We're back to our Saturday shopping routine now. It felt good to not have to rush any where. We decide to stop at Best Buy to see if the tablets I wanted to get my grandkids were on sale (they were), then we asked if they were going to be on a Black Friday add deal. They checked for us..and they were going to be a Door Buster deal. That's where you line up (in this case the earliest was Thanksgiving Day at 6 PM) to get a ticket. You might get one...you might not. The deal was for $30 less then the current on sale price, that's half of the 2 yr protection plan cost! I told the sales guys (we were talking to two..one kinda knows us) I'm NOT doing that. So while hubby I debated getting them that day (@$179.99 each + $69 each for the protection plan), one of the sales guys told us to wait a few mins and walked off. He came back like 10 mins later and asked how many we wanted ate the Door Buster price. Say WHAT? I told him I would get 3 at that price ($149 each). He said OK..we'll do it.
He went to the back room and in a few mins I had them in hand! Then we got the protection plans. So instead of $248 each...they were only $218 each. I saved $30 on each of them.
So why you may ask did they do that for us? Well...it seems we've spent so much at Best Buy over the last 18 months we part of their "Elite" Rewards group. We didn't know that..and of course they made the effort to work with us...they always do..which is one reason we shop there. That and the protection plans on stuff can't be beat!
Now we only have to buy Christmas for my kids, hubby's kids, and his grandkids. But I think those are going to all be gift cards. Then we'll be DONE! Hubby got his from me a while back when he got his Galaxy Tab 3 tablet...but he'll have a little something to unwrap under the tree.
We stopped at Fresh & Easy on the way home to pick up our turkey (11 lbs). While there we picked a spiral ham that was on sale and some Butterscotch Beer. Yep..Butterscotch Beer (non-alcoholic). It's really like cream soda. And I was surprised that the whole bottle was only 120 calories. It was pretty good too. here's a pic:
We had lunch out too...Hawaiian. I had Kalbi ribs with a side salad. YUM!!
Sunday we went to the base for grocery shopping, then home...where I got ALL caught up on the house work I'd missed with all the race trailer work/racing over the last 6 weeks or so. It felt SO GOOD to have a clean house! Not that my house was dirty..it just needed to vacuumed, dusted, mopped, and general sorting and putting away of stuff. Hubby is teasing that we should get a Roomba...I can just see the cats chasing all over the place then hopping a ride!
Yesterday was just busy at work. And the drive home the last few weeks has been nasty. Over an hour long some nights!
I So need to win the lottery and retire!
Today has been good...both eating (so far) and workout wise. I was within calories yesterday and have done 60 mins in the gym both days this week. The BIG test will be the Thanksgiving weekend. Thursday and Friday I'm going to make the effort to workout at home.
So that's it for me today...have a great rest of the Day..and only ONE MORE DAY!
