Thanksgiving is almost here! I have defrosted my turkey and today I took out the butter, cream cheese, sausage, and sourdough bowl from the freezer to defrost. Tomorrow I'm making 2 pumpkin pies and an apple pie from scratch except for the pie crusts. Thursday is going to be the main cooking day where I do most of the cooking. I can't wait to get in there and cook :) I really love food around the holidays but I'm going to limit my portion sizes to just a small scoop of everything and a normal portion size of turkey. My problem in the past has been overeating to the point I'm so full I literally feel like throwing up. I've been able to train myself to eat a lot smaller portion sizes. I've noticed I'm starting to get fuller faster so I'm thinking my stomach might actually be shrinking back to a normal size because I'm sure over the years I've probably have stretched it out.
Yesterday I went to a restaurant down the street from where I live that sells Mediterranean food. I got a chicken shwarma salad with chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, pita strips, and romaine lettuce. It was a big salad and I found myself full after only eating about 1/4 of it. I was able to take the rest home with me so I have some leftovers for lunch today.
The house is finally sold and has gone through escrow. I was finally able to get my portion of the sale so my boyfriend and I are going to get a car on Friday. I can't wait to have a running, functioning, reliable car! That means we can start going to the gym again! I'm super excited.
I am still 214.8 pounds but hey at least I haven't gained anything. I'd rather take no loss over a gain any day so I'm content. I will be really good on Thanksgiving to make sure I stay on track. My next goal is to be 210 by my birthday in January since I blew past my goal to be 220 on my birthday. I still can't believe how far I've come!
We have finally almost finished all of our Christmas shopping! We have 2 gift cards to pick up, a Raiders shirt, slipper, socks, and a robe. We thought we were done but some last minute things being throw in. I'm just glad we got the bulk of it completed and wrapped. I like to get Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving because after Thanksgiving the madness begins and it's hard to get anything on time or without having to deal with the crazy people out there.
I did an updated collage of my progress and here it is for you all to see :)
