Cook More

So on my SP Goal Board (which I do try to review daily and find it very motivating!) one of my goals is to Cook More.

I set this goal for many reasons.
a) To plan meals and make our family dinners easier
b) to be healthier and not eat out as much
c) to enhance my cooking skills and try making new things
d) most importantly- to make our family dinners easier (did I mention that already? :P)

On a social media network, I saw a post about 10 freezer to crockpot recipes. So I did it! I did four though, not 10. Last night I got my husband to grab the ingredients I needed from the store and we took turns throwing stuff in the freezer bags and making dinners.

Tonight is Honey Bourbon Chicken with rice, tomorrow is Sweet and Sour Meatballs (extra lean turkey), Thursday we have company and it's Teriyaki Porkchops and then most likely leftovers on Friday and then Sausage and Peppers on Saturday.

At lunch today I'll throw the Chicken in and prep the rice cooker (will turn that on when I get home). And it's just a matter of steaming some veggies and it will/should be a nice dinner tonight.

    I love my slow cooker. It really does make it easy to serve up healthier meals.
