Think of this! I sure did when I read it because I have a bum knee and now I am committed for one more reason to drop more pounds.
For every pound of weight of you lose, the stress on your knees drops fourfold. For example, losing 5 pounds lightens their load by the equivalent of 20 pounds, 10 by 40, 15 by 60, and so on. Weight loss is the simplest, most effective thing you can do to pull your joints back from their aching point.
Dropping fourfold sounds good to me!
