STUFF Happens!

Monday, November 25, 2013

1) My digital clock didn't seem to be working, I noticed when getting out of bed this morning. Thinking of different reasons: emoticon
A) electricity is out
B) clock finally bit the dust
C) cat, who likes to lay on top of clock finally did something.

Outcome: It was unplugged. Whew! emoticon

2) Freezer randomly popped open! Looked like a Winter Wonderland. emoticon Evidently I (yes, me) over stuffed the freezer and it didn't seal properly.

Called three different appliance stores for advice. Received three different responses. emoticon

Decided to go with Plan A. ~ Make sure freezer door is firmly shut and let fridge go through defrost cycles because I was not feeling well and was extra tired. emoticon

Did Plan A until discovered fridge temp was in the Red Zone (got turkey meat in there). And fridge and freezer ran continually.

Outcome: Unknown

3) While deciding best course of action for freezer, my cat emoticon comes in and throws up his food.

Outcome: Cat is happily exploring the great outdoors.

While ALL this was going on, a cassette tape is playing a song by Jeff Fenholdt singing, "I need to be still and let God love me. I need to relax and let God take over." emoticon www.youtube.com/watch?v=

And this was before Noon!

Concerns: pot of coffee needs to be fridged; full crockpot goes into fridge then freezer; and tomorrow DH is to prepare are potluck dessert that needs refrigerating.

Spent the day singing to myself: emoticon "It's not a major tragedy.... it's not a major tragedy...it's not a major tragedy"

    So sorry! emoticon
Wish you were in "our neck of the woods" (now where did THAT expression come from??). You could use the "great outdoors" as a refrigerator (OR freezer!). It's been in the low to mid 20's at night--about the last 4 or 5 nights.
(DD has had to deal w/ frozen water bottles for critters. Argh!)

Hope your problems get less or easier soon...
This too shall pass. I'm told that "this is what memories are made of!?!" Remember the year when............
