1) My digital clock didn't seem to be working, I noticed when getting out of bed this morning. Thinking of different reasons:
A) electricity is out
B) clock finally bit the dust
C) cat, who likes to lay on top of clock finally did something.
Outcome: It was unplugged. Whew!
2) Freezer randomly popped open! Looked like a Winter Wonderland.
Evidently I (yes, me) over stuffed the freezer and it didn't seal properly.
Called three different appliance stores for advice. Received three different responses.
Decided to go with Plan A. ~ Make sure freezer door is firmly shut and let fridge go through defrost cycles because I was not feeling well and was extra tired.
Did Plan A until discovered fridge temp was in the Red Zone (got turkey meat in there). And fridge and freezer ran continually.
3) While deciding best course of action for freezer, my cat
comes in and throws up his food.
Outcome: Cat is happily exploring the great outdoors.
While ALL this was going on, a cassette tape is playing a song by Jeff Fenholdt singing, "I need to be still and let God love me. I need to relax and let God take over." www.youtube.com/watch?v=
And this was before Noon!
Concerns: pot of coffee needs to be fridged; full crockpot goes into fridge then freezer; and tomorrow DH is to prepare are potluck dessert that needs refrigerating.
Spent the day singing to myself:
"It's not a major tragedy.... it's not a major tragedy...it's not a major tragedy"
