I had a great workouts this weekend. On Saturday I decided I was going to try to complete the Bridge to 10K again. I had started this before but never completed it, because I sidetracked myself with trying to increase my speed instead of my distance. I'm going to start over from square one. I started from the first week on Saturday, which is 4, 10 minute runs separated by a 1 minute walk. I finished those and had some energy left so decided to add some sprints to the end to get me to a 4 mile distance, and then I walked a 1/2 mile to cool off. It was a great workout.
Sunday I did the JM Hard Body workout. Even though at the end of the workout I'm still soaked with sweat and exhausted, I feel like that's starting to get a little bit easier for me to do. I think a few more times of level 1 and then I may be able to move on to her level II Hard body section of the DVD. I think next time I do the workout I might even break out the 8 pound weights for some of the exercises, because some of the squats rows, curls, etc I think I can handle with the 8 pounds. Weighted burpees however....not going to happen.
I think I'm going to weight myself this week on Thursday morning instead of Friday morning. I normally weigh myself on Fridays, but I'm already planning for Thursday to be a late eating night for Thanksgiving, and I think I will just be setting myself up for failure... I'm thinking that way also next week I will have all week to burn off Thanksgiving. Sound reasonable?
