I just got back from a brisk walk. I love days like today. It's only about 45 degrees, but it's not cloudy for a change. If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you know what a boon this is! That one factor alone is probably why I'm destined not to stay here long. I love the scenic backdrop of the mountains and I love the juxtaposition of nature and urban sprawl. But the lack of sunshine is such a downer!
I've been tinkering with the new features on the Sparkpeople Start page. I wasn't able to create a custom goal in Step 1. I don't know if I need to enable something on my laptop, but it wouldn't let me check either of the quantity or y/n boxes. Oh well, I was able to pick from the standard list. Here's what I picked: Do 25 pushups, exercise in the morning, eat a healthy breakfast, write a journal entry, be positive to at least one person. 4 out of 5 aint bad and there's still time to do those pushups. I'm enjoying those fast break goals. Eating breakfast and exercising in the morning is doing wonders for my mood.
I've also been checking in with a Facebook team for an Amazing Race Challenge. It's pretty painless, just a brief check in to let them know how many fitness minutes you accomplished. If anyone is interested in participating in the next challenge, let me know.
Time to figure out what to make for dinner!
